Our Story

My love for this hobby goes all the way back to the early 2000s, ripping packs as a kid and getting hooked from the very first one — Jungle was the set that started it all for me. Piplup has been my favourite Pokémon ever since, and if you look closely you'll probably spot it somewhere around the site.

That childhood obsession never really went away. These days I'm a TCG vendor who travels across Canada setting up at shows, meeting collectors and players face to face, and building Bag of Dimes one event at a time. I'm genuinely grateful for every customer who's supported this journey — whether we met at a table at a show or you found us online, you're the reason this keeps growing.

Why Are My Sealed Prices Low?

This is easily the question I get asked the most, so I want to be upfront about it. A few reasons:

• I'd rather sell products to collectors — As a person who has avoided products due to the unfair pricing set by other competitors in my local scene, Ontario, I have avoided purchasing sealed products due to the high price they are asking. I never minded paying market however when these big companies are are asking double or even triple of market, its ruins the whole experience as a whole.  

 

• It's not a bait-and-switch — every box is 100% sealed and authentic; low price doesn't mean cutting corners on what you actually receive

 

• My goal is to grow the business with fair pricing — turning inventory over quickly at a fair price keeps the business healthy and keeps collectors coming back

 

• Overhead Costs — no big retail lease, no large staff — just me in my basement and the show circuit, so I'm not padding prices to cover costs that a bigger operation carries

It's not a trick or a temporary sale — it's just how the business has been built from day one, on the road, one show at a time.
